Hello! And welcome to my site Antiquus Astrology. My name is Aaron Brody and I am the Professional Astrologer who runs this site. Since this site is growing in size and visitors I felt it was now appropriate to put up some information about myself so you know exactly who I am and know a little more about my background in the field of Astrology. I have been a professional Astrologer for around 10 years now but only recently have taken my business to the internet. I first started my Astrological studies primarily in Modern Astrology which has always been a love of mine. I later upon my research, came to have a closer affinity with Traditional Astrology and adopted that form being that I most agreed with and complete. I currently live and work in the Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada area. I do not believe in these so called "Astrological colleges" because in my opinion, these are nothing more than a way to separate you from your money. If these colleges accredit you, who accredits them (obvious answer, themselves)? All that it takes to learn Astrology is a determination and desire to understand the secret functions of nature.
I have a great desire to teach and instruct others in Astrology and therefore I felt this site would be an appropriate medium in which to do that. Being that there is a lack of Traditional Astrology sites (being based on Traditional Astrology in general, not specifically geared towards Horary as most Traditional websites are) I thought it a great opportunity to create this site to teach others not only the basics of Traditional Astrology but also the specifics that other sites (whose focus being Horary) neglected. I hope in the future to have a website which encompasses all the aspects of Traditional Astrology for all Astrology students to learn from. I try to offer all the information I can for free because quite frankly everyone should have the ability not only to understand themselves and others but also the world around them. I have been given a lot without charge for all the topics I love therefore I see no reason others should have to pay for something they love as well.
My other interests include antique books, manuscripts and documents hence why I felt it appropriate to publish some of these obscure texts for others. I also enjoy Philosophy (specifically Neo-Platonism), Natural Philosophy and Astrological Magic as I find they add more ingredients to understanding Astrology and its function in the world. I also enjoy studying different forms of Divination as well (Geomancy for example). In the future some of these topics may be incorporated into this site but currently I have attempted to keep it strictly Traditional Astrology only. If you wish to see some of these topics on this site feel free to email my through the contact page and I will certainly consider to add them the more approval I receive. I apologize for not being much of a bragger or boaster of my talents and skills (if that is what you were looking to see written here) but I prefer my work to show my experience and talents rather than my voice. I hope you will enjoy this site and reference it regularly.
