Properties of Men, gifts, and profession
Appearance : Generally gives a body of a middle stature, a complexion swarthy, pale and muddy; his eyes are little; a down cast unpleasing look; lowering eyebrows; broad forehead; nose flat; lips thick; holds his head forward, or stooping; he goes shoveling with his feet; his ears are great; hair black or very dark; his beard (if any) is very thin; every way a lumpish, heavy, and unpleasing person.[1]
Note, that the orientality, occidentality, latitude, star, & etc. of the Planets, do somewhat alter their descriptions, and this is worthy of observation as well in question as Nativities, that when Saturn is occidental, he gives a shorter stature, and a little more fleshy; but when oriental, more black and lean with less hair, and that more curling. If he hath South latitude, he makes the Native more fat and fleshy; but if North inclined to leanness, and less active.
Types of Men : He is the patron of old men generally, as grandfathers and fathers. He also hath signification of husbandmen, day laborers, clowns and beggars; brick makers, plumbers, molesters, scavengers, colliers, gardener and chandlers; sextons and curriers; miners and tanners; sectarists, monks and Jesuits.[1]
Behavoir of Men : Well dignified; the person or Native represented by him, is grave and sober; he performs all his actions with judgment and discretion. He hath a sharp fancy, and strong imagination, and is very studious. Ill dignified; ill dignified, then the Native is malicious, envious, covetous, jealous, timorous; a mere lying, repining and dissembling fellow, and of a mistrustful, sordid, sluggish, and suspicious disposition.[1]
